Sontaia P. Briggs is a Queer Faith Activist working at the intersection of LGBTQ+ and Faith. A consultant with nonprofits and churches, Sontaia authors youth and young adult programs and workshops. She is a sought-after LGBTQIA inclusion trainer and motivational speaker who has worked with PARITY NYC, Blanton-Peale Institute and Counseling Center, Park United Methodist Church, and NMAC Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Sontaia was a Keynote Panelist for the Universalist Unitarian Office at the UN parallel event for the 2021 NGO CSW65 virtual forum: The Right to Joy: LGBTQ+ Women of Color. She also traveled to our nation’s capital as one of many state delegates of LGBTQ persons and allies to engage Senators and Congressmen around the need for federal protections for LGBTQ individuals.

Sontaia holds a Master of Public Administration from Rutgers University and a Master of Arts in Youth Ministry from New York Theological Seminary.

She is also the creator of a limited podcast series Experimental Radio with P.k. Briggs – a monologic exploration of meditations, sacred text, and the ideas we use to engage life to adapt, survive and thrive.

Also co-creator of Queer Bible Study with Rev. Robert Arnau, a mini-podcast series that explored the ‘queering’ of the Bible, i.e., God’s love is non-binary, and God’s love is for all.
